Report: Daily Meals in 2020 and 2021

With the generous support of the Mexican and foreign communities, we were able to close 2020 by providing an average of 140 children, adolescents and seniors with a daily meal in our community dining room.

In 2020, thanks to the donations we received and in spite of the health contingency because of COVID-19, we delivered 8,254 meals to those who came to our dining room located in Colonia Laguna Azul.
After the break for Christmas and New Year’s, we resumed this program on January 11. Again, the meals were prepared, the recipients brought their own containers, for the safety of the volunteers and the participants. We look forward to continuing this program through 2021.

In 2021: Between January 11 and March 26 of this year, 5,703 meals to take out were delivered to an average of 130 beneficiaries. The majority of these are girls, boys and adolescents, in addition to seventeen seniors from Colonias Laguna Azul, Marquez de Leon, Villas de Guadalupe and Vista Hermosa, all on the outskirts of La Paz.

On April 13, we resumed activities after the Easter holidays. Due to the COVID pandemic, this continues to be meals to go, with the participants bringing their own containers. This practice will likely continue until the end of the school year.

Once again, thank you to all who have donated so we may help those who are the most in need.
We are especially thankful to Raiz de Fondo and Alianza Alimentaria (BCS Alliance for Food Safety) who, with their continuous contributions of in-kind donations, have allowed us to progress with our program despite the challenges caused by the pandemic.
